Venue hire

​

Samoa House Library (SHL) is available to hire for meetings, wānanga, workshops, readings, launches and other gatherings. Located on Karangahape Road, Tāmaki Makaurau, the library offers an informal setting for conversation, learning and exchange.

Hiring the space also helps support SHL’s collection, staff and public programmes.

The space

• Capacity: Approximately 20 seated or 35 standing

• Spaces: Library and balcony

• Furniture: Tables, chairs and cushions

• Facilities: Wi-Fi, kitchen and printing facilities, with a projector and screen available on request.

For groups larger than 10, additional chairs may be needed. We can help arrange these free of charge with advance notice.

Hire rates and conditions

$250 for up to four hours, including reasonable setup and pack-down time.

Longer bookings and any additional costs, such as extra staffing or special setup, can be agreed in advance.

• Evening and weekend bookings are available.

• All events must finish by 10pm.

• BYO food and drinks are welcome.

• The space must be returned to its original condition and arrangement.

• Staff presence will depend on the group and the nature of the event.
